Castletroy jumps into the Jurassic

Castletroy Town Centre was rumbling and roaring this weekend as we welcomed the jungle to our doors. For the second time in history, Castletroy Town Centre stepped into the prehistoric era and brought Dinosaurs back for a day with the help of the Reptile Haven Experience.

Known for their host of exotic animals, the Reptile Haven Experience specialises in creating a unique experience for communities with their showcase of reptiles, arthropods and more.

Excitement and wonder crept its way into the heart of Castletroy as families dared to brave the slithering snakes, while others got up close and personal with a certain eight legged tarantula. Have no fear, we were explicitly told he wouldn’t even hurt a fly!

The community of Castletroy welcomed the wonder of the Reptile Haven experience with open arms. Through an interactive educational show and fossil pits ready for eager archaeologists in the making, they discovered the fascinating history of the exotic creatures. Dare we even say, there may be unusual Christmas lists this year?
